Dr. Harshad Joshi
MBBS, DNB (Med) DNB (Gastroenterology)Dr. Harshad Joshi is a highly respected gastroenterologist with over 12 years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. Known for his patient-centered and holistic approach, Dr. Joshi combines clinical excellence with compassionate care.
He completed his medical education at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Philomena’s Hospital, Bangalore. He then pursued his specialization in Gastroenterology at Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi, Kerala, and further refined his expertise during a fellowship at the University of Alberta, Canada, with a focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
Dr. Joshi has a particular interest in the use of intestinal ultrasonography (IUS) in IBD management. He has received specialized training in this field from renowned international institutes including AMC (Amsterdam), Hospital San Raffaele (Milan), and Kitasato University (Japan).
In his clinical practice, Dr. Joshi employs the latest technologies and evidence-based treatments to manage conditions like acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and liver-related illnesses. He is also skilled in performing advanced endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and double-balloon enteroscopy.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Joshi is an active contributor to medical research and education. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at national and international gastroenterology conferences. He is deeply committed to community outreach and regularly participates in health awareness and education programs.
